Animal Art & Art Therapy






Hello, my name is Nadia Brunet Lafrenière, and I am an artist and art therapy practitioner based in Chelsea, Quebec. I create colorful and charming artwork inspired by nature, animals, and the universe. I particularly enjoy painting wild animals, fairytale landscapes, and magnificent galaxies. I also create personalized animal portraits that highlight the essence and unique spirit of each animal.

As an art therapy practitioner, I support people in using creativity to feel better, express their emotions, and build confidence. I work with children, teenagers, adults, families, and groups. My sessions offer a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where no prior artistic experience is necessary, only the desire to create and explore.

I am deeply committed to mental health, self-care, and empowerment. I believe that art can bring healing, hope, and happiness to everyday life.

Art Therapy
I am passionate about supporting individuals who wish to improve their quality of life and well-being through art therapy. I hold a degree in Social Work Techniques from La Cité College and am certified in Art Therapy by Équilibre Formation. I am currently a psychology student at UQO. I have had the privilege of working with at-risk youth, the LGBTQIA2+ community, and adults experiencing homelessness and addiction.

My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a humanistic approach, grounded in the values of respect, non-judgment, and empowerment. I consider each person to be the expert on their own experience and prioritize a therapeutic relationship based on listening, compassion, and trust. I support my clients at their own pace, guiding them in exploring their needs, strengths, and potential for growth, in order to foster lasting well-being that aligns with their values. My goal is to support my clients in their journey and help them achieve their goals to promote their happiness.

Whatever your needs, dreams, and desires, using art to achieve them facilitates a deeper understanding of yourself. Art therapy harnesses the benefits of creation to improve your well-being and mental health. Taking a moment to express yourself through art will help you get to know yourself better. Then, through discussion, we will take the time to understand the blocks and beliefs that no longer serve you. We will work on self-love and self-acceptance. I look forward to working together!

Each child has their own rhythm, their own unique way of feeling and expressing themselves. Through a humanistic and creative approach, I support children in their homes to help them better understand their emotions and experience calmer routines.
